What to Bring on your Chandeleur Fishing Trip | Diversion Charters

Packing List

To make the most of your Chandeleur Islands fishing trip, please make sure to bring the following items with you!

2 rods and reels
Plenty of 12 - 20 lb test monofilament line
Marine Navigation app on smart phone or handheld gps
Tackle Suggestions
- 1/8-1/4 oz jig head
- Variety of soft plastic swim baits
- Popping or Mauler corks
- Topwaters
- Spoon style lures
If you plan to wade fish:
- 1/8-1/4 oz jig head
- Wading belts
- Wading shoes / sneakers and socks
- Long Stringer
- Dip net
- Needle-nose pliers
Sunscreen for body, face, and lips
Sun hat and glasses
Insect repellent
Cooler to bring home your catch

*Reminder: No beer bottles. Bring canned beer only. (Liquor bottles stored inside the boat are fine)

Go to Department of Wildlife and Fisheries licensing website and purchase Charter Passenger Saltwater (3 day) license for $20. Be sure to print the receipt in case the license does not arrive in time.
